I moved from Jakarta to amsterdam. It’s a quality life upgrade although I kinda miss the food scene in Indonesia sometimes. But since Indonesia is a homophobic country, I don’t miss it that much.

If you no longer have a connection with the Netherlands, seems pointless. I know a lot of mixed Dutch from Indonesia repatriated to the Netherlands in the 60s and later moved to US and they dropped their Dutch citizenship and had no intentions to move to the Netherlands at all

You won’t get a job there since Canadians require everyone to have a Canadian experience. So yeah better go back to Europe. Canada deserves to have a skilled workers shortage

I haven’t visited my home country for 2 years as I don’t really miss my home country. Plus I don’t like a long haul flight.
