Interesting, I had the opposite experience! I found people in the US to be much friendlier than the Europeans in the country I am in. That’s also one of the main reasons I am moving back

Car-dependency, guns, MAGAts. But this is very location-dependent. There’s lots of US cities with good public transport, and the blue states have little gun/MAGAt problems.

I’m American, and have been living in Europe. I’ll be going back soon. The main things I missed about the US were the friendliness of the people, the low smoking rate, and the natural spaces/national parks

I moved US -> Central Europe. Going back to the US soon. I found people here to be cold and unfriendly, there’s way too much cigarette smoke, and I miss US National Parks.
