3 months of probation period is standard in Europe. Employees also have the right to quit without any special reason during this time. And yes, you’re not safe before this period is over, after that it’s much tougher to fire someone/ quit your job. This isn’t something anyone can negotiate because the law requires that, in some countries this period can be even 6 month long
But this is totally legal in the EU. Within the first 3 month of trial period the employer and the employee can terminate the contract. It happens every day. That’s the reason why no bank is lending money for someone with a new contract and why we don’t relocate with the whole family burning all the bridges behind us. I’m very sorry for OP but she should’ve come first and her family could’ve follow her later
We have lived 15 years in Denmark. Unfortunately our kids are very loud, and it’s even more obvious in a country like Denmark. However in Spain it doesn’t seem to be a problem :D
