I didn’t experience that when I was there but I don’t live in France either. I didn’t find Americans to be as warm as people in my new country.

The coldness of the American people.

If you’re talking about America, I felt that way even before I left which is one of the reasons I decided to leave. Then my mom died after six months and coming upon my one year anniversary here, I really feel like only my dad gives a crap about me. I am guessing that after he is gone, I will definitely be in the same boat because my brother is mostly too busy with his life and new family to really connect with me.
