I just read a long thread about all of the things US expats miss about life in the US. I thought it would be interesting to ask about the opposite: What do you NOT miss about life in the US?

I’m an American who’s lived in Japan for 35 years. I just love it here, the people are nice and hard-working, it feels cheap to live here because prices don’t go up very much, of course if you’re earning money and Jan and going back home it would feel expensive right now because of the exchange rate. The thing I love the most about Japan is, the people, but also the reasonable healthcare which is always there for me when I need it.
