I just read a long thread about all of the things US expats miss about life in the US. I thought it would be interesting to ask about the opposite: What do you NOT miss about life in the US?

    Shootings everywhere, driving everywhere, high costs just for medical visits, prescription ads for viagra or just meds in general, high fructose corn syrup, red 40 dye

        I was surprised I didn’t see it mentioned yet haha but it’s definitely something I don’t miss having in nearly everything!

      As someone with a corn allergy…I can say it is WILDLY hard to buy any food or food products in the US

          Haha thanks. It’s not a super common allergy (about 1% of food allergies), but it’s a real pain—especially since corn hides in a lot of ingredients like dextrose, maltodextrin, citric acid, etc.
