In all sincerity, how do you get out and find work and should you? I’m 40F and have barely left this country. I don’t know how to make a better life for me and my children and I’m not even sure that this isn’t still the ‘safest place’ as the saying has always been. Are all governments corrupt? Are they all at risk of war? Are rich people and corporations given legal passes and tax breaks everywhere? Is there gang violence, racism and sexism everywhere? I want to live without fear that my kids could be killed by some idiot with guns, I want our family to live a life free from servitude just to to pay for car+home+health insurance and not worry we could die simply because we couldn’t afford to pay the highest price for medical care in the world, and I want to know the government or a corporation won’t be allowed to harm people and places with toxic chemicals or skipping safety measures. I want to be more than fuel for capitalism. This is a serious question. I’ve intentionally left my home country out but I’m sure you have guessed.

I’m 40F and have barely left this country.

If you have barely left America, then you will probably have a much easier time moving to another part of America that is more aligned with what you are looking for.

Moving internationally in middle age is much easier for those who are well traveled. Some of what you complain about here are the same in every country.

    Are all governments corrupt?

    Yes, to varying degrees

Are they all at risk of war?

No, but America is probably the least likely to see war at home. If this is a major concern, there’s nowhere better protected than the US.

Are rich people and corporations given legal passes and tax breaks everywhere?

Yes. In other western countries it’s even worse, which makes their richest people all inherited wealth. This is an area America is much better, because America’s richest are mostly self made.

    Is there gang violence

America is really bad in this area compared to other western countries. You will see less violent crime elsewhere.

    racism and sexism everywhere?

    Yes

I want to live without fear that my kids could be killed by some idiot with guns,

Guns is an American issue, and not an issue elsewhere. If you live in a nice suburb, your risk in America is greatly reduced, but still higher than elsewhere.

not worry we could die simply because we couldn’t afford to pay the highest price for medical care in the world

Positives and negatives to the American healthcare vs other countries. I prefer the approach in other countries, but if you have employer health insurance in America, it’s often better than what you will get in universal system in other countries (less waiting, more treatments available). The universal systems are cheaper.
