You should start by just travelling. You don’t need to move country to see the world. I assume you are from the US.

I think you should go for a short one week holiday to the UK and Paris.

Then visit somewhere developed in Asia like South Korea, Japan or Singapore.

Then go to Australia.

This should broaden your ideas of the world and to see its not all doom or gloom out there. There are plenty of safe countries, ones that are way safer from where you are from. Every country has good and bad. Go see the world and see what you think after that.

I also happen to live in Asia so travelling is very cheap.

There’s needs to be room for savings and big purchases as well.

You will struggle on that salary. The cost of rent and living is so high now. You won’t have wiggle room to really have fun or travel around the region on that salary.
