One week is not long enough to get any kind of discount.

ohliza@alien.topBtoDigital Nomads•Traveling to Vietnam for the first time next week, should I get a fake onward flight?English1·2 years agoI get a real onward flight that I think I might actually use. You can buy one for like $20 to other places in sea.
ohliza@alien.topBtoDigital Nomads•How do I find people who don’t drink while I’m traveling?English1·2 years agoSkip the hostels. Outdoor who don’t drink tend to do morning stuff like running or yoga or other physical activities. I’d try those.
ohliza@alien.topBtoDigital Nomads•Can you tell me about the hostel culture in SEA?English1·2 years agoI think one key difference is that sea is so cheap that many more people can afford hotels or airbnbs than in Europe. That changes the hostel calculation a bit, imo, to people who really really want the social aspect or are seriously needing to pay $8 a night instead of $15.
This works abroad?
Work for yourself. That’s how I do it.
Though to be fair DNs can very legally work in a lot of places. My kid is one, working within the US, per her employer’s rules. She’s still a dn, just moving around within one large country.
