The kids are usually more radical and conservative. If you look at European radical religious terrorist attacks from the last 20 years they’re mainly from European born terrorists.
It’s probably because the parents know what life was like in Pakistan / Iran / Iraq etc and know what religious extremism causes.
Where I’m from, UK. Black and Muslim communities will work together to push for more rights and better treatment. But white people in Asia don’t do this.
This sounds terrible but when I meet a while South African I do a little countdown in my head until they say something racist. 🤣
No one makes it over 20 minutes. It’s usually something like I’ll ask “how’s the job market in SA” and they’ll reply “not good if you’re white black people get all the jobs”.
I notice that white western expats in Asia are just at each others throats a lot.
They’ll be nice in public but when they get online and anonymous it’s just a “I am the bestest most richest and most intergrated expat”. They’ll gladly throw fellow white expats under the bus to help themselves.
POC tend to have solidarity with each other when they are a minority in a country but not white people. Why do you think this is?
