  • A few comments, which are based on presumptions by me:

    1. She needs to be habitually resident in France to get free healthcare, even in emergencies whilst no payment is taken you must often pay the fess afterwards.
    2. She never paid taxes in France so it’s not good to use their healthcare system: if she moved to France in good faith then immediately had a health problem, that’s a different situation
    3. Honestly if this is someone’s only way to access healthcare (not about saving money alone), I have no problem with it as a human being it is the logical thing to do.
    4. France is not a cheap healthcare destination (on a private basis) at all

  • Some replies are legally or procedural wrong. I enter one of my country of origin with that passport or a foreign one, which is attached to my nationality (so they know I don’t overstay).

Some countries constitutionally cannot refuse you entry if you enter with a different passport because you have a right to be there (e.g. UK).

SPECIFIC TO THE US - US Nationals MUST enter and leave the US on a US travel document (unless there is some kind of humanitarian crisis or what not)

By law U.S. citizens must enter and depart the United States using U.S. passports, even if they hold a passport from another country.

I feel Spanish are loud and obnoxious to me because of my ethnicity, I can’t be in my white home country (biracial) without constant abuse from Spanish on the streets, including a physical assault this year.

I need to make it clear I mean “ethnic” Spain Spanish people (the far right Germanic non native ones). Ones of other origins, such as those of S America origin even of Spanish routes treat me well and I never have any issues. It usually depends on if my beard is long or short when this happens.

One friend of my same biracial origin was hit by a car a few years back by a Spanish. He was crossing at a zebra crossing (google this if you are unsure what this is) and when the white lady crossed in front the car drove off and bumped him on purpose. Dangerous peoples.

  • In addition to my last post, I had a quick look at your post history to see if I could see what industry you are in and will make another post.

Don’t take mental health lightly - things could have worked out for the best going out. You seem to be on top of your situation so I won’t write lots on this.

You speak French fluently, so countries where that is an asset are:

    1. France
    2. Belgium (in the south and Brussels)
    3. Switzerland (in the Francophone cantons)
    4. Luxembourg (multilingual state (Luxemburgish, French and German), with english-only jobs everywhere and A LOT of English-only speaking migrants, such as from Portugal)
    5. Channel Islands (they speak a dialect of French and English, though the latter is what is needed for jobs).
    6. Monaco - they speak French and English widely.

Portugal is a lovely place to live and Poland has a lot going for it, and both have outsourced jobs in French due to how relatively low the income is. I would consider Portugal if you don’t need to maintain a US-level income as the quality of life is really good there, it has a nice culture, racism is shockingly low for Western Europe (this is based on my own lived experience and second-hand from my friends who differ from me, but this is very circumstantial and varies person-to-person).

Andorra is NOT part of the EU, I am not sure what kind of jobs there or special arrangements for visas but you may be on a level playing field with EU workers? I never researched this. Andorra is a small principality between France and Spain, which uses Catalan language but French, English, and Spanish are widely used and specifically needed in some jobs. Watch some tourist videos of the place as you may not enjoy living there.

  • France is notorious for unionization, striking, and claims against employers. Check the union and lawyer up. Record all direct losses (financial and otherwise, e.g. cost to ship goods).

I am not a French law expert, but there are generally three types of misrepresentations in Europe, fraudulent, negligent and wholly innocent. The burden of proof differs on the former two but do a google about misrepresentation law in France - did they misrepresent the job by knowing they might shut it down (being a cause of action)

  • The non western-toruism style parts of Thailand are amazing, but I could definitely live my life in Malaysia and lived there several years ago too.

I know exactly why I enjoyed living there, but I am not sure how to explain it, fi that makes sense. I just felt naturally at home. I guess it is the blend of the UK colonialism so systems aren’t so different (unlike say one of my countries of origin, where I was not raised, which was a French colony so structures are of that style), the islamic elements and that sort.

Only trivial things stressed me out about living in Malaysia.
