Connecting the client on the same network as your server runs on? That would probably be your problem.

Concerto_of_Lies@alien.topBtoDigital Nomads•Do you ever present yourself to a local as a Digital Nomad?English1·2 years agoI almost always say I work for a big company that lets me work in Europe; but I’m taking most of the time I’m here off.
Concerto_of_Lies@alien.topBtoDigital Nomads•Planning to get an EU Digital Nomad Visa: Which one should I go for?English1·2 years agoThere are no current digital nomad visas that allows you to travel freely around the Schengen zone. You get to live in the country for which you have a visa, not any EU country. You abide by the same 90/180 rules as most other Schengen visitors.
You lost the “freely travel the EU” lottery the second your presumably non-EU dad spunked into your presumably non-EU mother. Your only solution for what you want is to become a naturalized EU citizen.
Looking into r/churning. Get all of the sign up bonuses you can. I’d highly recommend US Bank Altitude Reserve. $500 back for $2000 spend + 4 lounge passes + extras. I’ve done it and just got my girlfriend to do it too. Start there.

In my experience, most airBNBs and hostels will not. If you’re mostly going to be using co-working spaces or places with guaranteed high speeds, I say worth it. I’ll also note the Beryl AX can theoretically get 300mbps with Wireguard.
- What network(WiFi etc) are you trying to connect the client to?
- Is it connecting to the network but not the VPN or neither?
- did your IP change?
- have you tried connecting using Wireguard App?
Concerto_of_Lies@alien.topBtoDigital Nomads•Planning to get an EU Digital Nomad Visa: Which one should I go for?English1·2 years agoNo DN visas let you freely travel across Schengen. They let you stay and work in that country. 90/180 still counts for other Schengen countries.
Concerto_of_Lies@alien.topBtoDigital Nomads•Work laptop has location services locked. Is it over for me?English1·2 years agoMy laptop is locked to location services = on. I hard wire into my router with WIFI and Bluetooth turned off. Never had an issue and I semi-regularly review my logins, all of which report my “work location.”
I never plug my VPN client router (also a Beryl AX) into my current location’s router. I always: connect my Beryl to local WIFI, verify it’s working, connect work laptop to Beryl via Ethernet.
This is the safest and most convenient route 99% of the time
