Hi I know this question periodically arises and is answered but the telephony market is so dynamic I wondered if there are now better options. In the old days I used Vonage but they’re expensive and clunky, I felt. Google voice requires me to use hangouts, which I think is dying. What’s the best way to get calls forwarded from a US number to a European one? This is a huge problem for me because I run a business in the US and Americans hate and often don’t understand international calling. I will pay to make this easy for them. Just need a US number to forward to my existing Spanish number. Any great ideas welcome.
I use OpenPhone. I pay $10 monthly and I get a US number from an area code of my choosing with VM, call forwarding, messaging, etc. They have browser and mobile based apps you can log into, and it’s very easy to use. You can easily block numbers and set DND business hours as well. If you already have an established number, you can port it over to their service.
The service is categorised as a VoIP number though, so 2FA-SMS verification can be hit and miss. Call quality is consistently good though.
