As an outsider looking in:
Americans accept everything in USA because you’re brainwashed from birth into believing the USA is the greatest country on earth, despite some horrifically glaring evidence to the contrary (school shootings and healthcare for example). It’s this sort of toxic exceptionalism that prevents you from changing things.

I agree, but you should probably be specific to “some Americans” because I knew before I moved abroad that things were messed up. I do agree that we have a huge problem with exceptionalism.

Actually, a majority of Americans don’t just accept this because we’re brainwashed. I’m grateful to live in Chicago, but of course, it’s still America, so we still have a lot of the same issues. What are we supposed to do? Go out and start a revolution? We’re all working paycheck-to-paycheck to survive. It’s rough out there.
Not really. 67% of Americans are satisfied with their healthcare costs, it’s actually the highest in 20 years.
