Hello,
I’m leaving the UK in January and moving to the Netherlands. This is my first time living outside of England so I was looking for some advice in things i need to do before going. I have a working visa (and a job) for the Netherlands, I was thinking more HMRC, UK bank account, etc.
Thanks :)
If you receive any sort of income by cheque: it is no longer possible to cash cheques in the Netherlands. So make sure the method of payment changes.
Speaking of payment, the Netherlands is still fully invested in the maestro debit network; despite that being phased out. So it is possible a mastercard debitcard is not accepted in every shop.
You can cash cheques on apps up to £500 iirc on apps
