If you present it that way in the interview and your employer knows you are doing other work, then I would agree, if you are upfront about it. If that’s your business model.

I don’t understand what the last paragraph has to do with the first paragraph??
However the answer to your question is that several people have done this. It was going on a lot during the pandemic. It is highly unethical but it can be done.

Yea I saw it and responded right after. What are the down votes about??
Milie won……ugh…not sure
Has the winner been called?
I’m Latino but from the US, as is my family. The only real problem is that people expect me to speak better Spanish than I do. Otherwise if I keep my mouth shut, I can blend in. I think they can tell I’m a foreigner though but more or less its easier to fit in. Admittedly because they know I’m from the USA I feel I get a lot of privilege that locals don’t get. For example the police are less likely to hassle you. That’s about it.
I will say this. I see lots of this from US travelers and expats doing what you described. However my wife is British and I have to say that she has been a rock star. She adapted to the heat in Colombia, no problem. She speaks perfect Spanish. She cooks with whatever ingredients she can find. She truly fits into the culture wherever we go and we are living in our third Latin American country. Also when we were in Colombia, we were not in the capital and she worked her way in with the locals. I guess I just got super lucky with her. I am truly thankful.
