  • Anywhere EXCEPT Hong Kong. That place will instantly drown lesbians into depression unless you’re caucasian. Any asian or local looking lesbians face day to day discrimination including and not limited to all kinds of slurs, the infamous judgmental laser stare that they make sure you feel uncomfortable and very often but not exposed and reported enough physical assaults happened now and then.

Worse if you’re trans or masculine butch looking individuals, you WILL get refused entering into clubs and bouncers would not have a second thought enforcing physical intimidation if you try and reason. I’ve witnessed a trans girl being rejected into a club and was pushed onto ground whilst Her other mates got in. I’ve also seen a butch got poured a full pint of beer all over outta nowhere and no one did or said a thing.

Hong Kong, despite all the glams and claims as an international city hub, in fact still embrace a relatively backward society system with much patriarchy and misogynistic mindset individuals of all generations, older or young.

    So, no. Not Hong Kong.

I spent my formation years, lived and worked oversea in western countries, SEA and east Asia. I’d say most progressive cities are, Melbourne, London, Bristol,Berlin, Bangkok, Singapore and Taiwan.
