10k CAD a month, I work in marketing for a remote US company. Budget wise I try not to spend more expenses than I spent when I was living in Canada, so about 3500. So it affords me to stay in nicer airbnbs, eat out, do activities, and not think much about cost. Most of my money goes into savings. No dependents or debt either.
I’m not in digital marketing but what I can tell is to find your niche and grow your experience there. A course is a great starting point and Google has a ton for free. Knowing data and having the ability to interpret data is a superpower. I would actually recommend data analytics instead if you could. But take on projects and grow your experience.
Help your family or friends with their websites, volunteer your time with a business, do what you can to get experience so you actually develop real life skills and not just do courses. A pro tip is going on a website, reaching out to the owner (via LinkedIn for example) and give them tips on how to better improve their marketing (seo, brand, traffic, etc). Then help them do it. You get experience + a solid referral.
