I’ve taken more than my fair share from the planet. Feel like I should give something back. Though I’m sure I wouldn’t taste that good.

I’d rather my body get used for science or food or something.
‘Access to airports for travel purposes would be great’
If you want travel to be a regular part of your life, the pragmatic (and spit-balling) part of my mind seems to think somewhere central like Denver or Kansas City would at least be a good hub for convenience’s sake. I also imagine property rates are a bit more reasonable than on the coasts.
And BTW, as an Australian, I feel you with the childfree/non-drinker/non-sports enthusiast stuff. It’s very limiting.
Aussie here who has done several six-month stints in the UK. It sounds to me like you’ve got the really hard stuff sorted - i.e. accommodation and employment. Really it’s the logistics that are the pain in the arse.

Ha, I’m completely the opposite. I love the dark, the cold, rain - dusk is my favourite time of day because it means the sun is going away. I’ll be looking to migrate to somewhere like where you are instead of the sun-drenched place I live now. Each to their own, hey?
Southern Italy sounds like it might be a good fit for you. Best of luck with wherever you end up.
(Semi-) rural Hampshire.
