1 year agoThe interior cleanliness/upkeep is the responsibility of the store managers and employees though. I think it’s more of a reflection of the average level of standards and care of people that live in that town. It may very well be the case that the people that live/work there have no issues with the level of cleanliness, and personally I see nothing wrong with that.
I mean, I personally find it extremely wasteful to replace something simply for aesthetic value. Sure, if a building needs to come down for safety reasons then go ahead and replace it with something nice, but anything built that’s not architecturally unique and just generically nice may very well be considered ugly again 50 years from now
