HK is Hong Kong? I live here, and I think it is okay for equality in general but not that stable. In one sense it seems to be making progress, slowly - eg with the immigration and housing for same sex couples. On the other hand, there is still no marriage equality. And discrimination (eg firing someone because of being gay) is not yet illegal, IIRC.
BUT the main thing is that every single advance is won after a long brouhaha with the government - because they feel like they have to show how loyal they are to Beijing which is still very conservative on these matters.
