1 year agoA country a month would be way too fast for me. I like to spend two or three months in places. But I also spend a lot of time unemployed, during which I backpack, so I get to travel more quickly at other times.
You should technically have a work visa, but none of us do. Getting found out is very, very unlikely.
RE accommodation, you could look at accommodation specifically for DNs (so probably coliving). But also you can just message hosts and ask for speed test results (many put them on listings anyway).
I always like to have some sort of backup internet access. Redundancy on this is very important seeing as we need it to work. For me, this just means tethering to my phone (local SIM).
Get good enough at an in demand, hard to acquire skillset that an employer will accept your terms RE where you work from. I think that’s basically the “secret” to making decent money as a (disclosing) DN.
