It’s probably easiest if you have a job that either offers remote work or you are in a field where finding jobs is easy anywhere due to your skills.

That way you could try out a new country- or even a new city in your own country. And then if you didn’t like it after a few years, you could always just go home.

Thailand has had issues with tourist deaths, although small in terms of raw numbers compared to the very large number of visitors. Also some of the dangers could also be from the other tourists themselves!
