I’ve lived/worked or travelled (long stay -6mth) in about 12 countries from Kuwait to India to Mexico in the cultural extremes.
It completely expands your world view and you become way more accepting of people, cultures and traditions.
You don’t need to agree with some things in the host country but you need to accept them as best you can.
It amplifies how good we’ve got it in the west albeit we have our issues too.
Brits are whiny cunts. I’m a Brit I know like you know.
However I’ve not found them to be as whiny when living with in another country as immigrants but yes certainly when just passing through ie expats. That’s why they are expats and not migrants money aside.
I have zero savings. No idea who saves the most.
My savings gave me multiple years of travel and experience so when I’m old I’ll live frugal like old people do.

I got insurance through ACA. I opted for the gold policy. Luckily that year my bill was only $12,000 so only had to pay around 10%.
I had a chest x-ray took 2 minutes $1,200.
Be absolutely sure you get health insurance immediately even if you think you’re young and fit. Shit happens.
My income was about $65k and it was difficult to make ends meet. Just south of Cleveland, Ohio for reference.
Australia and Mexico … can’t decide which I loved more.
