Hello,

Looking for LGBTQ friendly countries that have decent left leaning people, good food, fun scene, nature, entertainment, quality of life. My wife (35F) & I (33F) are looking for recommendations. We have a sizeable nest egg, enough to move to almost anywhere & nice passive income. We would prefer to get a golden visa or something similar to get PR in that country but would need to keep our USC. We don’t need to work and our passive income will be coming in from the US. We will also keep our US residencies and go back annually. We are of eastern asian decent speak a few languages each. Not looking to work at other countries and can pay for healthcare in new country. We could also purchase in this new place so finding housing would be easier. We do travel a lot and would prefer a country we don’t have to be there most of the year. We like western countries or first world countries but are open to others. Thank you in advance.

I’m straight but I have a lot of LGBT friends and have lived in a few different countries so I’m going to say: London or Madrid. Both very LGBT friendly and big cities, with lots to do, a lot of expats, good food, and with good connections for traveling to see friends and family. Nature is probably not the forte on these cities. Stockholm is better in this aspect but I don’t know what is like for a queer couple after the arrival of all the muslim immigrants.

I should note that Madrid tends to elect government more to the right of the political spectrum and the nationalists have been doing a lot of demonstrations recently.

There’s no utopia out there, I guess but start asking around in LGBT subreddits about these cities and of course visit before making a decision! Good luck!
