I’m interested in experiencing what its like to live abroad. But you can’t always find job opportunities from the home country. I was wondering, how difficult is a “shotgun move”?

    I got a working holiday visa first, so that I could be sure I would be legal, and I made sure I moved to a city where there were plenty of English speaking IT jobs (Amsterdam) and then promptly got a remote job for a company in London for over a decade. I had also been to Amsterdam before and had a fair idea that it would suit me.
