Hello everyone!
I’m at a crossroads with an opportunity – a job transfer (as a software engineer) beckoning me to either Prague or Warsaw, for 2-3 years! I’m currently working in Budapest. We’re a couple with no kids.
I’m turning to this experienced and diverse community for some firsthand advice. If you’ve lived in both Prague and Warsaw or have some solid insights into either city, I’d love to hear from you.
Considerations include rent or ease of accommodation, safety, healthcare, lifestyle, cost of living, weather, taxes, monthly savings, transportation, job opportunities – basically, all the nitty-gritty details that make or break an expat experience. The majority of my expenditures cover day-to-day living, supplemented by occasional travel within or around the country every two or three months. Notably, I’m not a party person, so my budget prioritizes a more laid-back lifestyle.
So, I’m here requesting you to share your experiences, preferences, any hidden gems or challenges you encountered in these cities. Thanks in advance for being awesome and sharing your wisdom! 🤗
The air pollution is pretty bad in Poland.
