Hey, I’ve been following the proposed changes to the EU long term residency. There was an update a few days ago, but the info I’ve found online is sparse on what the actual changes will be.

Previously, there were changes proposed such as changing the time requirement down from 5 to 3 years, allowing the accumulation of time spent on study permits, allowing accumulation of time in different EU countries, ect.

Now all I’m finding is that only EU Blue Card holders and “highly qualified workers” will be allowed to accumulate time in other EU countries and that’s it. Does anyone have any clearer info or know where I might find it?

I was praying to every god that might possibly exist that more of these changes would pass. I’m in an abusive relationship and have been desperate that I could get long term residency and finally get out.
