Hello all, my wife and I are moving to Spain next year and looking to purchase a home in the Valencia region. She is a Spanish citizen (I am a US citizen). Is there any difference/advantage for a local to purchase the home rather than an expat? We are planning on buying a modest property outright and avoid a mortgage. Is it essential to have an attorney do a title search and make sure the property is clean of debt or can an estate agent do that? Thanks one and all for any help.
