My American daughter is living permanently in Australia. I have an Amazon Aus Prime acct so I can buy her things and have them delivered at her house but Amazon isn’t everything in Aus. For Christmas she wants quite a few things from Bunnings (hardware store) but when I go to pay online, it won’t allow a billing address that is outside of Aus. I keep running into the issue and anticipating a grandchild in 2024, I don’t think it’s going to get easier. Is there a way for an American to maintain an Australian bank account or credit card or something so that I will have an Aus form of payment. I do typically travel to Australia 2-3 x/year so I could open an account in person, deposit money in person. Ideas?

Wise. Half my family lives in the U.S., the other half lives in Australia, I live in Scotland and it’s just too easy for us to need anything else. My family can transfer money in minutes from their own country’s accounts with a few clicks.

Thank you. We currently have 2 shared us accounts but if I got wise, maybe I could transfer money to one of her friends and have them be my shopper.
