My wife is Dominican, and I am an American citizen. My daughter is now 1 year old, and was born in the DR and has not yet traveled to the USA. We went through the CRBA process, and got her CRBA and American passport.
My wife now has a residency visa and we are going to be leaving the DR together with my daughter to go to the US. I have heard a few people here claim that my daughter not only needs an American passport, but also a Dominican passport to be able to leave the country. But I can’t imagine why the American passport wouldn’t be enough.
We have her Dominican birth certificate, CRBA, and American passport. Is that enough to get back to the US? Or do we need to get her Dominican passport? Just wanted to see if anyone knew about this. Thanks!
My kids are born in Colombia but live in states, when they leave or enter Colombia they have to use Colombian passports.Check with immigration in DR.This is a thing.
