I am Swedish living in the United States since almost five years. Today two of my best friends booked a trip to NYC and they are not visiting me in the same trip, I’m in Ohio so not too far from there. They even asked me for travel tips. This is not the first time someone has talked to me about coming to the United States but my other friends ended up not traveling.

My parents and sister has visited which I am grateful for, but I am getting so tired of wishing my friends would visit. I have been back six times in five years. I always prioritize visiting my friends when I go back.

Anyone else in the same boat? I get so disappointed.
