Don’t listen to these naysayers on here. If you want to go, go. I’m in pretty much the same boat, but it doesn’t even matter who wins the next election, I’m just sick of the relentless toxicity and gaslighting of the American right wing. The USA very clearly has a mental illness epidemic, and it’s not going to get better anytime soon. Time to explore new horizons, new experiences, and a more balanced life. I definitely recommend traveling to your preferred places a couple of times, at least once on a longer trip beyond a “vacation” to gey the idea of what daily life looks like. But yeah, if i were you, i would plan a timeline that works around making the best choice for you and NOT based on yhe political calendar in the USA (ie, dont try to move before the election, but rather when youve done the due diligence on where youll be the happiest).
