I really hope this is the right forum! But I (US citizen) am about to be employed to be a personal assistant/family manager from someone who lives in the Netherlands. They also have a company in Portugal that they could sponsor me under. This would be their first time sponsoring someone from the US, and I was wondering will it cost them a lot of money to sponsor me? Or what are the terms from their end to sponsor someone from the US for a visa.

I also was a aupair in the ND, but that you can only do for one year. They obviously want me for longer and want to find a way for it to work.

Anything helps!

Netherlands has become very fussy about who, and for what reasons, they’ll issue work permits. Without higher education in a technical field, it could be an uphill fight.
