So here’s my situation: I accepted a job in France, I’m currently living in the US, I’m a US citizen and so is my husband. I understand I can work and stay in France with a work visa, but I’m unsure how to get my husband a visa, as he doesn’t have a job lined up. Can he just get a tourist visa, move with me, and then find a job once he’s there and change to a working visa or is that not allowed? Not sure exactly how to find him a job in France from the US without actually being there. Thanks in advance!
Your spouse will get a residence permit “vie privée et familiale”. He can live and work without needing a work permit. You need to apply for his residence permit / visa at the same time as yours.
