I’m 23 years old (will be 24 by the time my program starts) from the United States, and I recently found out how much cheaper it is to go to grad school in Europe rather than in the US. I’m currently looking at the University of Padua and the University of Bologna. Is this a good idea? Has anyone been in this situation? Would you recommend this? What were the best and worst parts of your experience? Any hardships that I am currently not aware of?

As far as having money in the bank you can take out a personal loan, get the visa, and then pay back the loan.
